As summer is slowly starting to cool down, construction on a new bridge will be heating up on the new Hannegan/Ten mile road area. If you are planning to head to Bolton Tire from Bellingham you will want to consider using the Everson Goshen Rd, or the Guide and Pole Rd.
Whatcom County Public Works will be replacing an existing bridge, which will also include approach slabs, roadway approach work, and guard rail installation. Because of this, there will be a road closure at Hannegan Road and Ten Mile Road, beginning on August 20th, 2018.
Construction activities and the road closure are expected to continue into November 2018. Detour signs will be in place which will utilize Ten Mile Road, Noon Road, and Central Road for local traffic. The truck detour will include Axton Road, Guide Meridian Road (SR 539) and Pole Road (SR 544).
The construction contract for this project has been awarded to Razz Construction, Inc.

Remember to give yourself some extra traveling time if you are needing to use any of these routes, as traffic will be increased in the detour areas!
